Passion for Pastry
From a young age, Haley Dove had a love for baking. Begging her mom to make Christmas cookies in July, it was obvious her passion was in the kitchen whipping up dessert. In 2009, Chef Haley Dove began a short-lived web series that grew into a brand in itself. Creating specialty cake pops monthly for her classmates in high school and any cakes she could get her hands on, she dreamed of attending the prestigious Culinary Institute of America Greystone in the beautiful Napa Valley. Gaining notoriety in her small town as a young, excited pastry chef with her sights set on the stars, she was admitted to the school of her dreams, where she trained for two years under the world’s top-caliber Michelin pastry chefs and certified master bakers.
CIA Alumni's Cake Walk
After graduating as an alumni for the CIA in St Helena California, she worked with the world’s most famous hospitality brands including The Ritz-Carlton at the only luxury ski-out resort in Lake Tahoe, California, as well as one of Walt Disney World’s signature four-diamond resorts in Orlando, Florida and their connected bakery, and The Four Seasons Resort’s five-diamond urban retreat outside of Los Angeles, California. She also claimed a coveted spot on the opening pastry team of the 19,000 seat arena, The Golden 1 Center, home of the NBA’s Sacramento King, in her home of Sacramento, California. Later, she went on to work at Levi Stadium, the 68,500 seat venue home to the NFL's time 5 time Super Bowl Champions the San Francisco 49ers.
With her time spent learning and working, she perfected her techniques from freshly baked breads, handmade buttery breakfast pastries, elegant plated desserts, intricate chocolate work, delicate sugar sculptures, and so much more. From working high volume and hundreds of desserts at a time to detailed one-of-a-kind custom cakes and matching themed pastries and desserts, Chef Haley became confident in her skills. All the while, she continued to work on CakeSpaz in her spare time, creating and sustaining a Cookie of the Month Club featuring her own creations, creative holiday specials, as well as custom orders of cakes and pastries for private events.

A strong believer in supporting local farmers, Chef Haley highlights the seasonality and diversity of Northern California in her desserts by supporting Sacramento farmer’s markets for the absolute freshest produce available when making her creations.
